General

FGR/FGRi inedible traditional collagen casings are our recommendation for raw-dry salamis. They increase the attractiveness of the final products due to their natural appearance and they influence the choice of the final consumer. The endurance and flexibility of FABIOS FGR/FGRi collagen casings facilitates homogeneous mould growth on their surface when necessary. Controlled permeability ensures fast drying/maturation, and the casing follows the product line.

They are recommended for the production of raw-dry salamis.
Being made of high quality bovine collagen, they are the perfect alternative to natural guts, or when one wants to obtain natural-looking products. Since they are mechanically resistant and easily peelable, they allow better productivity as they may be used on automatic stuffing machines.

Applications
They are recommended for the production of raw-dry salamis, including noble mould salamis. Due to diameter continuance, the weight of the products may be preset.

FGR/FGRi and FGL collagen casings are available in a wide range of diameters from 30 mm to 120 mm.

  • available in the EXPRES version, with anti-mould treatment, ready to use
  • also available in the curved version
  • precut pieces of variable lengths

  • precut pieces clamped together at one end
  • sawn in different shapes
  • printed with general (nets, cow skin imitation) of customized patterns

Storage
Casings should be stored in well ventilated areas, away from heating sources, at temperatures of 5-25°C.
The shelf life is 18 months.
