FIBROUS cellulose casings

FIBROUS casings are a unique combination of regenerated cellulose applied over special paper, in order to achieve mechanical resistance and accurate diameter control. FIBROUS casings are used for a wide range of applications such as raw-dry, boiled-cured salamis, extrawursts, hams, etc.

The regularity of its diameter also recommends these casings for sliced products.

Here are some of the benefits of the FIBROUS casings:

  • smoke and vapor-permeable, except for FIBROUS MP

  • insignificant losses during heat treatment

Depending on the type of casing chosen, a wide range of treatments is available. Please read the technical datasheet.

Colors: they are available both in the neutral version and in a wide variety of colors to satisfy the producers’ needs. New colors are available on request.

FIBROUS casings may be delivered as:

  • Rolls
  • Shirred sticks
  • Precut pieces, clamped or tied together at one end

Different diameters are available depending on the assortment.

Storage
Casings should be stored in a cool dry room, yet not in the vicinity of air conditioning pipes.
The storage temperature is 12-24°C.
