FCASE edible collagen casings

Being made of high quality bovine collagen, they are the perfect alternative to natural guts, as they are mechanically resistant and easily chewable, and thus allow better productivity as they may be used on automatic stuffing machines.

Forms of presentation

They are only available in the shirred pre-humidified ready-to-use form.

Types of shirred casings available:

  • SIMBOL 00 – open end 5,
  • SIMBOL Z4 – closed end by a knot,
  • SIMBOL Z5 – closed end by twisting.

They are shirred in 14.3 m or 18 m sticks and packaged in vacuum boxes. The boxes are packaged in cases.

Storage
Casings should be stored in well ventilated areas, away from heating sources, at temperatures of 5-25°C.
The shelf life is 12 months.
